Introduction
The Original HPW diet was inspired by PML and is one of the more widely used Replacement Nectars. This diet is not without faults. It is low in Calcium so consequently it must be fed alongside vegetables and fruits that are high in Calcium but also low in Phosphorus and Oxalates, because of this there is a lack of options and variety in the diet when it comes to the side elements. There are many veggie and fruit “relishes” that are balanced for this diet and take the guess work out of the side dishes, making this diet plan easy to feed. This diet may also have excess cholesterol and fat.
*Note that too much honey in a sugar glider diet has been linked to dental issues.
Ingredients
Amount | Ingredients |
---|---|
1/4 Cup (1/2 Cup) | High Protein Wombaroo Powder (Increase to 1/2 Cup for Breeding Gliders) |
2 Cups | Warm Water |
1.5 Cups | Honey |
3 | Scrambled Eggs (No Seasoning) |
1 Tablespoon | Bee Pollen |
- You can cook the eggs in the microwave – it’s faster and less cleanup. Just make sure to use a tall plastic cup and mix the eggs up really well. Microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until they’re done.
- The final HPW Diet mixture will be runny and a bit foamy at the top. This is normal.
- If you have two gliders, double the recipe to 1 TBSP HPW, 2 TBSP fruits, & 2 TBSP veggies.
Directions
