This page should help give you some ideas of the sorts of things people offer to their sugar gliders as treats or snacks. Keep in mind that a treat or a snack is just that, not something they should get every single day. An exception may be the dried fruit or freeze dried meats, since those often contain only a single ingredient they can be a pretty healthy snack option!

Often

Healthy, can be given often.

  • Dried Fruit Pieces (The more natural the better, no added sugars, etc.)
  • Freeze-dried Meats (You can find these on Amazon. They’re 100% meat, nothing added. VERY Healthy.)
  • Freeze-fried Veggies (You can find these on Nuts.com.)

Occasional

Not really very healthy but can be given on occasion.

  • White Baking Chips (They look like chocolate chips but contain NO cocoa.)
  • Almond Slivers
  • Plain Cheerios
  • Plain Chex
  • Mini Marshmellows (Tiny ones, these are obviously a RARE treat!)
  • Yogurt Drops (Avoid artificial dyes and flavors.)

Licky Treats

These are licky treats, typically something you can dip your finger into and offer to your gliders so they can lick it off.

  • Apple Sauce
  • Yogurt
  • Honey
